Can you bake with low fat margarine?
'Hard' margarine has the same fat content as butter, so is the best 'substitute' for butter - although your baked goods won't taste the same. Because it has the same fat content as butter, it isn't a low-fat option. Low-fat spreads cannot be used as butter substitutes in cooking.
Why is low-fat spreads not suitable for kitchen use?
Low-fat spread can't produce the texture in baked goods that butter does, and it tends to impart a greasy or oily, rather than velvety, mouthfeel when used in place of it.
Can I use low-fat butter for baking?
Generally, you can use reduced-fat spread instead of butter and you shouldn't notice a difference in taste or texture. Just be sure to use a spread with no less than 60% fat. Although there are spreads with less fat than this, they tend not to work so well in baking. The same applies to pastry.
What are two types of fat that are not good for the brain?
Researchers found that one bad dietary fat in particular—saturated fat, found in foods such as red meat and butter—may be especially harmful to your brain.
What is bad for brain?
Inflammatory diet patterns that are high in sugar, refined carbs, unhealthy fats and processed foods can contribute to impaired memory and learning, as well as increase your risk of diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia. Several other substances in food are dangerous for your brain too.
Why do dementia patients get so angry?
The person may become angry from over-stimulation or boredom. Feelings of being overwhelmed, lonely, or bored can all trigger anger or aggression. Confusion is one of the leading causes of anger and aggression in Alzheimer's and dementia sufferers.
