What do you season meat with for nachos?
The star of this nacho recipe is the seasoned ground beef. I made up my own seasoning mix that included chili powder, cumin, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne, but feel free to use any taco seasoning you might have on hand if you prefer. In my opinion, the key to great nachos is warm tortilla chips.
What can I use instead of taco seasoning?
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chili powder.
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder.
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano.
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin.
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (or regular salt)
What is the difference between ground beef and ground beef chuck?
Ground chuck is the beef that comes from front beef shoulders. On the other hand, ground beef is the leftover pieces after cutting the beef into roasts and steaks. This means that ground chuck comes from a particular part or from a special cut whereas ground beef comes from many parts or from other different cuts.
Is 73 percent lean ground beef good?
Ground Beef that is not less than 70% lean (usually a 73/27 or 75/25 lean-to-fat ratio) is used for burgers and in recipes calling for browning (crumbles) and pouring off drippings, such as chili, tacos and spaghetti sauce. When properly cooked, it is moist and juicy.
How much beef is in a burger?
1. Divide beef into even portions. Smashed burgers are thinner than classic burgers, so you want to stick with a quarter pound of meat per serving. So portion out four-ounce portions of whatever meat you're using.
