Is Anova a good vacuum sealer?
The Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer is one of the smallest models we tested, so it's a great option if you're short on storage space. Its pared-down design lacks the bells and whistles of our other picks—such as an accessory port, a bag cutter, and bag storage—but the Anova still allows you to pulse and vacuum seal.
Can you use Ziploc bags with Anova vacuum sealer?
No need to splurge on a vacuum sealer -- cheaper Ziploc bags and water work just fine. Food-safe zipper bags work great for sous vide. I'm known to go the cheap route whenever possible, so while learning to cook sous vide I used Ziploc bags instead of vacuum sealed bags.
Can you use any bag to vacuum seal?
Not any bag will work for vacuum sealing. Regular bags leak oxygen and will not hold a vacuum. When looking for a vacuum bag, be sure the bag specifies being a barrier bag. The amount of barrier will depend on the thickness of the materials and what the bag is made of.

Then you can store them in a freezer bag, or vacuum-sealed bag and place them in the tighter spots around your freezer, to save space in the long-term.
Should you vacuum seal bread?
