Is salsa cooked or raw?
They may be raw or cooked, and are generally served at room temperature. Though the word salsa means any kind of sauce in Spanish, in English, it refers specifically to these Mexican table sauces, especially to the chunky tomato-and-chili-based pico de gallo, as well as to salsa verde.

1 : a usually spicy sauce of chopped tomatoes, onions, and peppers that is commonly served with Mexican food also : a similar sauce made with a main ingredient other than tomatoes peach salsa.
Can green tomatoes be peeled?
No, one does not peel green tomatoes. The skin is not quite developed to the thickness of a ripe tomatoe. Just wash cut and fry, bake or make into a preserve. Boil the water in the pot and put the tomatoes in.
