How do you get stains out of Le Creuset?
Put some baking soda into the dish, and stir in enough water to form a paste. Scoop some of the baking soda paste onto a tooth brush, sponge or some paper towels. Use the paste to clean any stubborn residues or stains inside of your enameled cookware.
Why did my Le Creuset crack?
While Le Creuset's enamel is designed to be the most durable on the market, thermal shock may still occur, resulting in cracking or loss of enamel. If there are food residues, fill the pan with warm water and let soak for 15 to 20 minutes before washing.
Can you fix a cracked cast iron pan?
In a forge or other major heat source you heat the cast iron part to be welded to a dull red. Then while still very hot you arc weld the crack or broken pieces together with Stainless Steel welding rod, then let the whole welded part cool on its own at room temperature.
How do I fix peeling cast iron?
The Fix: To remove any loose flakes, lightly scour the cookware, then season it by rubbing the pan with a thin layer of oil, placing it in the oven upside down, and baking for one hour at 450-500 degrees F. Line the bottom rack of your oven with aluminum foil to catch any excess oil.
